_John 13:31-35(03)_ REPRESENTING CHRIST IN THE WORLD

(Joh 13:33) Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, \'Where I am going, you cannot come,\' so now I say to you.

Little Children - John uses this term several times to refer to the church. This is a most endearing. loving and affectionate way to look at the church (Mat 18:3) and said, \"Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

(1Pe 2:1-2) Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, (2) as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,

(Mar 10:14-15) But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, \"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. (15) Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.\"

(Luk 1:17) He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, \'TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHERS TO THE CHILDREN,\' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.\"

(1Co 14:20) Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.

(1Jn 4:4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, \'Where I am going, you cannot come,\'

John 16:16-22

(Joh 16:20-22) Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. (21) A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. (22) Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

(Joh 7:33-34) Then Jesus said to them, \"I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me. (34) You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come.\"

(Joh 8:21-24) Then Jesus said to them again, \"I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.\" (22) So the Jews said, \"Will He kill Himself, because He says, \'Where I go you cannot come\'?\" (23) And He said to them, \"You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. (24) Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.\"

(Joh 13:36) Simon Peter said to Him, \"Lord, where are You going?\" Jesus answered him, \"Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.\"

John 14:4-12

(Joh 14:4) And where I go you know, and the way you know.\" / (Joh 14:6) Jesus said to him, \"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

(Joh 14:19) \"A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.

(Joh 16:7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

so now I say to you...

(Joh 13:34-35) A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (35) By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.\"

As I have loved you - Mat 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.\"

2Co 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

2Co 5:14-15 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; (15) and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

2Co 4:10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Tit 2:14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Luk 4:18-19 \"THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HAS ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; HE HAS SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED; (19) TO PROCLAIM THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.\"

Mat 11:4-6 Jesus answered and said to them, \"Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: (5) The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. (6) And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.\"

Mat 18:33-35 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?\' (34) And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. (35) \"So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.\"

Col 1:24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,
