27Jan2021 - *Fully given to Him* - _Luke 19:41-44_ - YOU DID NOT KNOW THE TIME OF YOUR VISITATION 7 – Bible reading: _Ephesians 1:20-23_

Ā

Our relationship that we have with God is that of Him being our Husband. Which is why God set up the marriage relationship in the very beginning of creation so that the husband and his wife will live in a marriage relationship, understanding and demonstrating the marriage covenant of God with His people.Ā

_Isaiah 54:5 For your MakerĀ isĀ your husband, The LORD of hostsĀ isĀ His name; And your RedeemerĀ isĀ the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth_Ā

The Lord’s pain is that we as His people are not realising the time of His visitation, for His visitation is of a Husband wanting to take His bride to Himself. We are, therefore, missing out of living in the habitat of God now but the Lord is concerned that we are not conscious that the Husband is preparing *the church for the eternal betrothal with Him*, where we will reign with Him.

Let us once again look at our passage of study.

_Luke 19:42-44 saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the thingsĀ that makeĀ for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. (43) For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, (44) and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because *you did not know the time of your visitation*."_Ā

Ā

We have been saying that the matter of God’s visitation is of God who is our Husband coming to take us to Himself but we did not know.Ā Ā

Ā

When we come into a relationship with Christ, we break away from all other previous relationships and governance under which we had lived and we move into a new relationship, where God is a husband to us. We die to all of the other paradigms that had been driving us and now we are married to Jesus.Ā Ā

Ā

_Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that *you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead*, that we should bear fruit to God._Ā

Ā

This is a relationship where God takes the initiative to come into an eternal relationship of marriage with His bride, the church. Therefore, the habitat relationship with God begins now, (as we live in a materialistic and temporal world), but continues to eternity, where we will be the new Jerusalem of God.Ā  Ā

Ā

_Hosea 2:19-20 ā€œ*I will betroth you to Me forever*; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy; (20) I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the LORD._Ā Ā

Ā

We experience God’s righteousness, justice, lovingkindness, mercy and His faithfulness, in this marriage relationship that we have with Him now but the joy is that this marriage relationship with God is forever.Ā Ā

Ā

How does the Lord, our Husband, value us, the church? _Isaiah 62:3 You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God._Ā

Ā

This is how we must value ourselves, which is the value that God places on us. Not on the basis of how we see ourselves nor on how the world gauges us. We draw our identity from how God appreciates us.Ā Ā

Ā

On the basis of how God evaluates us, we prepare ourselves for Him, for the eternal betrothal with the Lamb of God. He is preparing us for the great day of visitation which is the marriage of the Lamb.Ā

How do we prepare ourselves as the bride for her husband? We prepare ourselves by living now in the habitat of God.Ā Ā

Ā

_Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and *His wife has made herself ready*." Revelation 21:2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, *prepared as a bride adorned for her husband*._Ā

Ā

This is the plan of God revealed to us now so that we will know the time of His visitation.Ā

Ā

_Ephesians 1:20-23 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seatedĀ HimĀ at His right hand in the heavenlyĀ places,Ā (21) far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, *not only in this age but also in that which is to come*. (22) And He put allĀ thingsĀ under His feet, and gave HimĀ to beĀ head over allĀ thingsĀ to the church, (23) which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all._Ā

Ā

Even after His revelation of who we are to Him and who He is to us, yet when He looks at the church, what is our Lord telling us? He says, ā€œYOU DID NOT KNOW THE TIME OF YOUR VISITATIONā€.

Ā

*Thought to ponder*

Ā

```Will the church reverse the pain of God’s heart to joy?```
