07Jan2021 - *The church and the world need to repent* - _Luke 19:11-27_ - TO EVERYONE WHO HAS, WILL BE GIVEN 29 - _Psalm 2:9-11_
Friends, God has given the church a small window of time to become profitable for Him, for soon this window will close and what will follow will be the vengeance of the Lord on the nations.
_Luke 19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We will not have this man to reign over us.' Luke 19:27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.' "_
Man is a tenant in God’s creation. We understand this from the parable of the tenants in _Matthew 21: 33-46_ Man chose to reject God and said, “we do not want to be under the lordship of God. He does not need to be King over us and on what we do. We will govern our lives.”
The Lord kept sending His messengers for man to return and to submit to His authority but man has continuously rebelled against God. Finally, God sent His Son, so that man would surrender to Him.
_Matthew 21:37-41 Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' (38) But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' (39) So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. (40) "Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?" (41) They said to Him, *"He will destroy those wicked men miserably*, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons."
The Jewish leaders themselves pronounced the judgment that they deserved.
_Psalm 2:1-3 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? (2) The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, (3) “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us."_
_John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil._
Light has come into the world but men loved the darkness rather than the light and therefore man stands condemned before God.
God in His great love is not only giving us, His unprofitable servants, an opportunity to repent and become profitable for the Master, the Lord is also giving a narrow window for the citizens who are rejecting Him, to repent, surrender and submit under the lordship of the King.
_Psalm 2:9-11 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.' " (10) Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. (11) Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling._
This is the time for the judges of the earth to be wise and serve the King with trembling and joy. Those who are yet rejecting Him will be slain
_Jude 1:14-15 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, (15) to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."_
_Psalm 21:8-9 Your hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You. (9) You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; The LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, And the fire shall devour them._
_Nahum 1:2 God is jealous, and the LORD avenges; The LORD avenges and is furious. The LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies;_
_II Thessalonians 1:8-10 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. (9) These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, (10) when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed._
