Luke 13 1-9 Repent and bear fruit 07 Being intercessors
*Being intercessors* _Luke 13:1-9_
_Luke 13:8 But he answered and said to him, 'Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it._
He rebukes us because He loves us and He chastens us, so that we will be fruit bearing. Therefore we must repent, be converted and bear fruit. _Revelation 3:19-20
Jesus intercedes for us before the Father. What is the longing of Jesus for each of us? It is that we will bear much fruit and good fruit. Thereby we will glorify His name. _Romans 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (John 17:20/Hebrews 9:24/7:25/4:15-16/I John 2:1)_
Not only Jesus intercedes for us, the Holy Spirit too teaches and also intercedes for us to the Father. The Holy Spirit knows the will of the Father, which is that we bear fruit. _Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (27) Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God._
Moses too stood as an advocate and as an intercessor for the people before God. _Exodus 34:8-9 So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. (9) Then he said, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance."_ God heard the intercession of Moses for the people _Psalm 106:23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them._
Just as Moses was, we too need to be intercessors and advocates for the church, to the Father. We must stand before God, in the breach, on behalf of the people, that we, the church should be fruit bearing. We are high priests to our God _I Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Revelation 1:6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen._
*Thought to ponder*
```Are you standing in the breach, on behalf of the church to be fruit bearing?```
