Luke 15 8-10 To seek and to save the lost - part II The lost coin 01 Breaking away from God
05Feb2020 - *Breaking away from God* - _Luke 15:8-10_ - Bible reading: _Colossians 1:16-17_
We have completed the first parable, which Jesus shared with the Pharisees and Scribes of God’s heart *to seek and save the lost*.
We now begin the second parable. _Luke 15:8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?_
The parable is about a woman, who had ten coins.
God is the owner. All things were complete in Him. _Romans 11:36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Colossians 1:16-17 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. (17) And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist._
When we look at creation and the magnificence of it, we are amazed at the wisdom and greatness of God. How wonderfully He has brought all things to work together in such unity and precision.
God created Man as the crown of His creation and made him ruler over all of His creation, though Man is created a little lower than the angels. _Psalm 8:4-6 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? (5) For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. (6) You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,_
But what has Man done? We chose to rebel and go away from God. Our sin against God is the sin of rebellion.
_Ephesians 4:18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;_
Did God leave us in our rebellion? No. He came searching for us and made a way for us to become one with Him once again. _Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all._ Our sin, which is rebellion against God, was placed upon Jesus and He was smitten by God and afflicted. He was cut off from His Father, when He cried out, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
_II Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him._
*Thought to ponder*
```The Lord is seeking for us to be brought back to the stage when all things were complete in Him.```
