24 – Tue, 21 Oct 2025 – *Continuing to preach the Gospel*- _Acts 14:01-07_ – THE MINISTRY AT ICONIUM – _Ezekiel 03:18_
_Acts 14:5-7 And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them, (6) they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region. (7) *And they were preaching the gospel there*._
Let us continue to consider how we are to share the Gospel.
*We preach the Gospel to all nations and peoples*
This is the heart of God, even as He chose Abraham. _Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And *in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed*."_
This is the Great Commission for us. _Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. (19) Go therefore and *make disciples of all the nations*, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen._
This was God’s purpose in choosing Israel, and for the Messiah to come to the world through them. _Isaiah 49:6 Indeed He says, 'It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; *I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.'* "_
In preaching the Gospel, we are reaching all nations and peoples and reconciling them with God.
*We preach the Gospel to all of creation*
The Lord is restoring all things, in heaven and on earth, to Himself through the cross. _Colossians 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, (20) and *by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross*._ / _Ephesians 1:9-10 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, (10) that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times *He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him*._
*The Gospel is the Gospel of His kingdom.* The Lord is restoring all things into the fullness of His reign through the church. As we share the Gospel, we are reestablishing the kingdom rule of God on earth. _Mark 1:14-15 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, (15) and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."_
*We preach the Gospel in the enablement of the Holy Spirit*
It is the Holy Spirit who enables us to share the Gospel with people and over creation. _Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power *when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me* in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."_
As we preach the Gospel, we are bringing people to be rooted in Christ, for He is our habitat. We live and move and have our being in Him. _I Corinthians 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, *but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, (5) that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God*._
It is through the Holy Spirit that the growth of the Gospel takes place. _I Thessalonians 1:5-8 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, *but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance*, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake. (6) And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, (7) so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe. (8) For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything._
*We preach the Gospel in humility*
_II Corinthians 4:5 For *we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord*, and *ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake*._
Paul saw himself as a bondservant to the people. He preached Christ, for Christ is our fullness. All things hold together in Christ. _Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist._
He wanted to see people built up in Christ. _Colossians 1:28 *Him we preach*, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus._
*We share the Gospel with a sense of urgency*
_Ezekiel 3:18 When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; *but his blood I will require at your hand*._
```Let us be like Paul and Barnabas preaching the Gospel.```
